THE GOAL OF THE ISF
The goal of the International Student Fellowship is to glorify God by effectively sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ with international students, making faithful disciples of them, and helping to equip them to serve Him as He so desires.
What We Believe
We believe:
- The Scriptures, both Old and New Testaments, to be the inspired Word of God, without error in the original writings, the complete revelation of His will for the salvation of men.
- That Jesus Christ is the Divine and final authority for the believer’s faith and life.
- In one God, Creator of all things, infinitely perfect and eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
- That as through one man sin entered the world and death through sin, so death passed to all people, because all have sinned.
- In the death of Jesus Christ, as a true substitute, and that His death was a sufficient sacrifice of atonement for the guilt of all people. We believe in His bodily resurrection from the dead.
- That those who receive Christ by faith have a new life from God given to them.
- That people are justified by faith alone and are counted as righteous before God only by the merit of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ that is credited to their account.
- In the everlasting conscious blessedness of the saved, and the everlasting conscious punishment of the lost.
- In the personal return of our Lord.
- That water baptism and the Lord’s Supper are ordinances to be observed by the Church during the present age. They are, however, not to be regarded as a means of salvation.
- That only those who are, thus, members of the true Church shall be eligible for membership in the local church.
- In the bodily resurrection of the dead; of the believer to everlasting blessedness and joy with the Lord; of the unbeliever to judgment and everlasting conscious punishment.
- It to be the supreme responsibility of the disciples of the Lord Jesus Christ to make His Gospel known to all people.
